Many actors have grueling schedules—they either work straight ‘til the dawn or go on breaks for months.
Such is the life of people involved in the showbiz industry, where you are either hustling or chilling with your much-deserved showbiz hiatus.
Because of this, they needed to have a comfortable and luxurious abode of their own, where they could just rest after having to participate in numerous shoots and tapings on a day-to-day basis.
Such is the case of actress Iza Calzado. After her obligations and duties, the actress finds it comforting to come home to her stylish condominium unit that’s located in Makati City.
According to Philippine Entertainment Portal, the unit was formerly owned by comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto. Iza acquired in it 2014 and had it furnished and decorated to her own preferences.
The source cited that she renovated it with a “Pinoy” theme in mind.
The unit has two floors. In her Instagram account, she revealed that her living room was designed by Nix Alonon.
She captioned it with: “just want to say a big THANK YOU to @nixalanon and his team @ftadesign @phoenixhome for the hard work that they put into my home.”
She continued: “Thank you, Nix, for being so much fun to work with. Also big love and thanks to our secret ingredient, Tita @fridaywintle for helping me make stylish and sensible choices for the home.”
Meanwhile, the actress also showed off her most prized possession, which was a sketch of her by National Artist for Visual Arts, Ben Cabrera. He is also known as BenCab.
Cabrera sketched her as her character of Sabel, where she was dressed in white cloth with a plastic sheet.
Philippine Daily Inquirer reported that Iza played Sabel in the musical ‘Sabel, Love and Passion’ on April 30, 2015.
Her performance was highly regarded because she was able to narrate the musical excellently. The musical was inspired by Sabel, who is the woman seen in the paintings of Cabrera.
