Actress and model Marian Rivera and her personal shopper have come under fire after the actress allegedly wore a fake Dolce & Gabbana T-shirt.

Marian made a guest appearance at fellow Kapuso star Regine Velasquez's weekend talk show GMA-7’s “Sarap Diva”, on February 8. While on the program, Marian was spotted wearing the trendy "I Was There" T-shirt, one of the pieces featured in the D&B Spring Summer 17 collection.

Rumors spread that Marian's D&B shirt was a bootleg shirt which drew controversy in the public.

However, it seems the rumors were unfounded as Marian's personal shopper, Aimee Hashim of Love Luxe Bags, had provided proof of authenticity.

Two weeks ago on April 20th , Aimee had promised to give the news site PEP.ph an update concerning the proof of her purchase of the T-shirt at the Dubai store.

"I'm 100 percent certain the shirt is real.”
"I am just waiting for documents from D&G Dubai to put this to rest.
"I can swear my life on that,” Aimee was quoted in saying in an interview with PEP.

On April 28, Aimee finally showed the proof she needed.

The personal shopper provided a screenshot of the email from Al Tayer Insignia, Dolce & Gabbana's official franchisee in Dubai, to PEP.

According to Aimee, the statement was sent by Al Tayer Insignia's Division Manager Nicole Ward. The e-mail is concerned with the request for assistance in authenticating her purchase of the D&G shirt.

The email from Dubai confirmed Aimee's own statements who was adamant that the shirt she bought was 100 percent real.
