Recently, earthquakes have been rocking the entire archipelago of the Philippines, although not in a simultaneous manner.
It could be remembered that experts from the PHIVOLCS have opened up about the country being ripe for “The Big One,” which is supposedly due to come in our lifetime. True enough, lots of provinces from all over have experienced earthquakes since January 2017.
In relation to this, several creatures have been spotted in these calamity-stricken areas. In Sultan Kudarat, an odd-looking creature that is alleged to be from the deep sea appeared along the shores.
Facebook fan page ‘OFW Kalingawan’ uploaded the pictures. According to them, it was found in Barangay Tibpuan in the town of Lebak, Sultan Kudarat around 2 in the afternoon of April 30.
The fan page cited that the creature is 3 meters in length and weighed 20 kilos. According to CNN Philippines, a magnitude 7.2 earthquake occurred in the Sarangani town in Davao Occidental and in different areas in Mindanao.
Several aftershocks have followed after the earthquake, with the strongest being a magnitude 4 tremor that happened around 4:54 a.m.
A tsunami warning was also issued by PHIVOLCS to residents staying along the coasts of Celebes Sea in Sarangani, Davao Occidental, South Cotabato, Davao Oriental, and Sultan Kudarat.
Perhaps the deep-sea creature was washed ashore by the earthquake that had occurred? We might never know but here were the netizens’ comments about it:
Rosalie Chin Fajardo: “Naku anong isda yan! may masamang pangitain na nman yan.....”
Chin-Chin Mayor: “Katakot mukha nya bka msamang panahiin n nman yan”
Jamie G. Deanne: “Sea eel”
Regina Vlademir: “Adobo sa gata masarap yan pulotan nayan”
What do you think? Is it an Oceanic eel such as a Moray? Is this another “bad omen?” Tell us what you think of this in the comments section below!
