It’s one thing to be a beggar, but what if you’re a beggar in a foreign country and you don’t even know your real name?
That’s just what happened in the post shared by netizen Rjay Avelino Seraznaer 2 years ago. His post told the story of when he met an Italian man along the hot and busy streets of Makati. The Italian had nothing to his name except the clothes on his back.
Narrating how he stumbled across the destitute foreigner, Rjay said that the Italian man told him that his Filipina wife left him. What's worse is that he doesn’t even remember his own name.
Rjay, wanting to help, asked the beggar's permission to share his situation online. For reasons unknown to Rjay, the Italian beggar refused.
Despite the Italian's objections, Rjay took a picture of himself with the beggar, telling him that it was just a “souvenir.” He then shared his "souvenir" online.
