Kathryn Bernardo, dubbed as the "teen queen", started out her acting career as the young Cielo in ABS-CBN’s 2003 soap It Might Be You and young Chippy in Maalaala Mo Kaya: Airport. She then landed her first main role as Maya, the ‘kikay’ love interest of the lead, in the kiddie superhero series Super Inggo. It was followed by a series of supporting roles until her breakthrough in the Mara Clara remake in 2010.
Today, Kathryn is one of the finest young actresses in Philippine show business. Who would’ve thought that the adorable Goin’ Bulilit kiddie would grow into such a beautiful swan princess? Indeed, her take on the puberty challenge is now making waves online. Take a look at her timeline below.
In 2016, Kathryn starred in a first-ever fierce and sassy role in her film Barcenola: A Love Untold with love team (and rumored boyfriend) Daniel Padilla. For those who haven’t watched it, the film has their kissing scene debut on screen. [spoiler alert] They also kissed in their latest movie Can’t Help Falling In Love.
However, in Pinoy Big Brother: All In season, then housemate Jane Oineza allegedly told the other housemates that Kathryn’s nose might have undergone surgery. Former housemates Loisa Andalio, Maris Racal and Nichole Uysiuseng were in wonder whether Kathryn’s nose is natural or not, to which Jane replied ‘no comment’. The revelation drew flak online. Some fans of Kathryn were aggressive with their comments.
kyle slofar: “people would always judge that kathryn had undergone surgery..just because she looks a little different than when she was young..puberty people…that’s what it is… Why is it a big issue now? Are we all look the same when we were young???? Think before commenting…”
Jhannie Trijo: “Kaya namin siya pinagtatanggol kasi hindi naman siya nagparetoke.Try to look at the pictures of kath when she were a little.Just look very carefully.There’s nothing change with her cheeks.”
Some also defended Jane and claimed she doesn’t deserve the rants.
SweetSapphireangel15: “Don’t judge Jane yet I think I would like to see Jane’s face while saying “mm mm” or what sounded to you guys like “oo”. It wasn’t oo btw. She could’ve said that by either nodding her head in a sign of a yes or a no. Also she asked someone to close the door, she could’ve said “oo or mm mm” to that person who was closing the door. We don’t know for sure.”
