Study Reveals That Almost All People Are More Scared of Losing Their Phones Than Breaking Up With Their Partners!

Ask any millennial and they'll tell you the same thing: they can't live without their smartphones.

Smartphones are a modern-day necessity due to the countless features that they provide. These amazing gadgets allow us to communicate with each other, search for useful information online, plan our itineraries, and entertain us during our idle times.

Smartphones are also quite expensive. This, coupled with our over-reliance on them, ensures that we take great care in order to avoid losing our smartphones. In fact, science claims that losing your smartphone is even worse than going through a breakup.

Yes. Smartphones have officially replaced romance.

Study Reveals That Almost All People Are More Scared of Losing Their Phones Than Breaking Up With Their Partners!

A study conducted by the popular security software company Kaspersky Lab made subjects rate which events they considered the “most distressing incidents” in their lives.

At the top of the list of distressing incidents is finding out about a family member’s illness.

This was followed by losing a phone and the inability to retrieve digital photos, which ranked second and third consecutively.

Surprisingly, going through a breakup and dealing with heartache came in fourth place, proving once and for all that relationships matter less nowadays.

Next on the list are a hacked social media account; the loss of digital contacts; arguing with a friend, family member or partner; a car accident where no one got hurt; a bad day at work; and a pet’s illness, respectively.

The study also found that people are willing to sell their photos, as well as other personal details, for as low as $11.11 (around PHP 553.72).
